Planets

Read the text on the right and put the planets in order. Choose a planet for each word.
Jupiter is a very big planet. It is five planets from the sun. Pluto is a very small planet. It is very far from the sun, so it is very cold.

Earth is three planets from the sun. There are no planets between Mercury and the sun.

Venus is next to Mercury. Mars is between Earth and Jupiter.

Saturn has moons and is six planets from the sun. Uranus is next to Saturn.

Neptune is five planets from Earth and it is between Uranus and Pluto.

You can remember the names and order of the planets with this sentence:

My very energetic mother just served us nine pizzas.

* In 2006 scientists decided that Pluto was not a planet, so now we need to create a new sentence to remember the planets.
